The end of DVD? Strictly Broadband introduces one-year movie rentals

Strictly Broadband , European leader in adult video-on-demand services, has announced a world first: long-term streaming movie rentals lasting a whole year.

Strictly Broadband operates two web sites, strictlybroadband.com and strictlygaymovies.com. The initial service offered a three day streaming movie rental with unlimited viewing, and this was later increased to seven days. Both sites now provide two options: seven day rental and one year rental, both allowing unlimited viewing of the rented movie for the entire rental period.

Seven day rentals are sold for one ticket (ticket prices vary from £5 to £10 each depending on the quantity purchased). One year rentals are now available for two tickets, which means the price is competitive with the DVD retail price at between £10 and £20 per rental.

The new feature has been greeted warmly by Strictly Broadband partners and customers:

• Affiliates will see an increase in generated sales due to the addition of the new products.
• Studios will see an increased return from their videos, at a time when many adult web sites are discounting studio content to win customers.
• Customers now have the ability to build an anonymous online collection, without the need to download and store anything - removing the need to buy DVDs or download movies from web sites.

The new option is available now on all Strictly Broadband movies.
