The Democratic Caucus in Iowa last night was a mess, and still is.
As of 9:28 A.M., almost 12 hours after votes, the Iowa Democratic Party has yet to report the winnings for the Iowa Caucus.
Whereas most of the candidates have expressed frustration, Pete Buttigieg claimed victory..without having any results.
But onto the biggest failure of the night…
Bigger than the app that the Decmoractic party had made that didn’t work, or the paper trail backup they put in place that ALSO didn’t work…
The Democratic party, in the case of a tie, flip a coin to see who gets another “delegate,” or rather, one of the ways the Democrats rate the winnings in Iowa.
If you don’t know what that means, Vox did a great article explaining the complicated and convoluted Democratic process in Iowa here.
Anyway, enjoy the clip of the Democratic party in Iowa flipping a coin to determine the future of the country.
(P.S., they did this 13 times between Clinton and Sanders in 2016.)
Feel free to comment below. I read all of them!
